The Park Entrance Pass is needed for entry anywhere in the Park. The Cadillac Mountain Vehicle Reservation is only needed if you are driving a personal vehicle up Cadillac.

To ride the shuttle: you DO NOT need a Cadillac Mountain Vehicle Reservation, but you DO NEED a Park Entrance Pass. Please bring your Park Pass with you when you board so we can present them to the Rangers upon entering the park.

Park Entrance Passes come in many different varieties, but any of them will be sufficient to enter the park with us., including the Vehicle Entrance Pass, Senior Passes, Interagency Annual Passes, and Acadia Annual Passes.

Here is a brief breakdown of the types of passes and the number of passengers in your party that they cover. For more complete information, please consult the NPS website.

Annual Pass: up to 15 Shuttle Passengers

Private Vehicle Pass: up to 15 Shuttle Passengers

Motorcycle Pass: up to 2 Shuttle Passengers

Pedestrian / Cyclist Pass: 1 Shuttle Passenger

Senior Pass, Military Pass, 4th Grader Pass: up to 5 Shuttle Passengers (or the number of seats in the associated vehicle).

America the Beautiful Pass: up to 4 Shuttle Passengers

PLEASE NOTE: As of 2026, The National Park Service has updated its annual pass and entrance fee pricing. Pricing for US residents remains unchanged, while non-US residents are subject to a new surcharge. Visit the park's website for a full list of passes and fees.

From pickup to dropoff, the entire trip is about 2 hours, plus or minus 15 minutes or so.

You should plan to be at the top of Cadillac for about 90 minutes. Please dress and plan accordingly! It is quite windy and can often be surprisingly cold at the summit. Bring extra layers with you just in case!

No! We schedule our trip times throughout the year to coincide with the Sunrise/Sunset.

Both the first and second Sunrise trips will get you up the mountain in time to see the sun crest the horizon.

There is street parking only for the shuttle. Meters start at 8am. Please DO NOT park in the Sunoco parking lot. That is for patrons of those businesses only.

Depending on where you're staying, we often recommend taking the free Island Explorer bus into town and then taking the short walk down Bar Harbor's main street to our pickup location. The Island Explorer stops at many of the campgrounds and hotels in the area, and if you're coming from farther out, there is parking at the Acadia Gateway Center, from which the free Island Explorer bus also runs.

Unfortunately, driving a large RV or Camper into downtown Bar Harbor is always a gamble. There are some dedicated spaces quite close to our pickup location at 317 Main St (on the Bar Harbor Ballfield), but space is limited and it is frequently full.

You can catch the shuttle in Downton Bar Harbor, at 317 Main St, 2 Blocks up from the YMCA and Ballfield. The pickup area is at the Sunoco Station, between Pat’s Pizza and Everyday Joe’s.
Boarding is 5-10 minutes before the shuttle leaves at the top of the hour.

You can also catch the Shuttle at the Cadillac Mountain Summit area across the street from the gift shop in the Bus Parking Zone.

We also offer Pickups from the Hull’s Cove Visitor Center. These pickups are ON DEMAND ONLY. Please Call or Text (207) 669-2476 to schedule a pickup and we will come get you.
The pickup area is located at the far back of the Visitor Center parking lot, near the entrance to the Carriage Road walking trails, on the grassy knoll. There is no sign, so just look for our van which will be well marked.

The Shuttle departs Bar Harbor roughly every hour at the top of the hour and departs the Cadillac Mountain Summit every hour on the half hour.

For normal Day Service, the Shuttle accepts payment on board.
We prefer cash, but cards, apple pay, and most contactless payments are also accepted.
We offer Round Trip tickets as well as One Way tickets for Hikers who want to hike up and ride down, or vice versa.

We only accept reservations for our Sunrise and Sunset trips.

During normal Day Service, the Shuttle operates on a 1st come, 1st served basis with round trip ticket holders having priority.
We don’t take reservations during our normal Day Service.

Sunrise Reservations can be cancelled up to 12 hours prior to the reservation time for a full refund.

Sunset Reservations can be cancelled up to 6 hours prior to the reservation time for a full refund.

Please Remember that weather is unpredictable and not within our control.

Yes! We are dog friendly and have a dog kennel in the back of the shuttle.
There is room for 2 Dogs per trip. All dogs must ride in the kennel. The kennel is comfortable and spacious. Dogs cost and additional $5.00 to ride with us.

We offer safe, top of the line, “all in one” safety car seats for infants and toddlers.
Parents will need to install the car seats into our van to ensure proper use. We normally have 1 car seat available per trip, but can get more if needed. Please contact (207) 669-2476.
